IMM celebrated its 52nd Founder’s Day and our country’s Independence Day on August 14, 2021 with great fun and fervor, by organizing an entertainment filled day for Students of Batch 2020-2022 at the IMM campus. The celebration was ornamented with the spirit of patriotism. The whole IMM family went down the memory lane of glorious 52 years, ever since its inception by the great Dr. Jagjit Singh.
“IMM held its first Business Plan competition for PGDM Batch 2021-23 on August, 2021. The rewards were ten Scholarships to study free at the Global Leadership Program (GLP) offering 7 International and National Certification Courses. It was a great opportunity to enhance Students academic portfolio. Students picked up very interesting topics: ’T-shirts from Recycled Plastics, Magic Notebook in Stationary, Selling Handcrafted & Homemade Goods, Cloud Kitchen, Bakers, Pet Management, Selling print-on-demand T-shirts, posters, greeting cards, and prints. The selection criteria judged the feasibility and implementation of the solution, target market competition, Marketing & Sales milestones & metrics; innovations in terms of services. Ideas, technologies, and sustainability in terms of environment, and people.
The Aagaman Orientation Day event was filled with fun activities and student interactions to welcome the new IMM Students Batch of 2021-23. Among the various interactive activities, an IMM Motto competition was held, for which Students were handed out certificates. The Freshers got to know more about the Faculty and the campus, whilst the Management got an opportunity to better understand the new batch. We wish for them to have a fun and educational time at IMM.
A Guest Lecture was organised for the Students of PGDM batch 2021-23 on 31st August, 21 by Mr. Kapil Bali, Head HR, CM Logistics, on the topic "Conflict Management" in the subject of Organisational Behaviour. This entire session covered questions like: ‘What is Conflict Management, what are the sources of Conflict Management’, etc. It also provided insights on the good and bad consequences of handling conflict, through the concept of Conflict Resolutions and the detailed models used for Conflict Resolution. It was very interesting as the practical insights and experiences were also shared by Mr. Bali in the session, making it relevant for the Students in practical implementations.
IMM Students of PGDM Batch (2020-22) got the privilege to visit a functional unit of PVR Cinemas, Faridabad. After a lockdown situation, it was the ice breaking activity for the Students. Students were introduced to the functions of Cinema Theatre Management, detailing how the movie is displayed on large screen, and the mechanism of running the reel behind the screen. The process of film distribution, bookings and reservations were also a part of hearing agenda during the visit. Students were thrilled to have a better understanding of the functioning of this important part of the entertainment industry.
The SOAR workshop held virtually on the 4th of September, 2021 was a huge success. With experts from various fields educating future managers on topics like Critical Thinking, Hybrid Model of Education, Business Analytics, A.I. and more; the session proved to be highly informative for all parties involved.
The Students of IMM were taken to the Vadhera Art Gallery where they learned about the intricate inner workings of the art world. They were introduced to exotic pieces of art in the modern world, learnt about art appreciation and also were walked through the process of Gallery Management as well as the entire auction process.
IMM opened its doors for Students to start attending classes in the hybrid mode from September 13, 2021, following all COVID protocols. A complete sanitization drive was carried out over the weekend. Students submitted a written consent from their parents along with their vaccination certificates. The attendance in campus was kept at 50% of the capacity and Students attended both offline as well as online classes, via Smart Boards.
The Students of 2021-2023 were taken to the Central Cottage Industries Emporium in New Delhi where they were exposed to a variety of handicrafts by skilled artisans from all over the country. The Emporium and its marketing serves as a window to India by means of display and sale of artistic objects. They got an in-depth knowledge on the handicraft industry in India. The visit ended with a surprise gift for all Students.
A special lecture on the topic “Blockchain for Business Professionals” was taken by Mr. Voruganti Aravind, Vice-President IDS Inc. He emphasized on the significance of Blockchain concepts and technology for management students and gave an accurate & deep understanding of the interrelation of Blockchain with an example from every management specialization. He emphasized the Blockchain proved to be a prodigious asset giving learning and insight on the technology and work on practical aspects that provide industry exposure to management bodies. Thus Blockchain technology promises to have far-reaching implications for global trade and supply chains. The session ended successfully with an enthusiastic question and answer round.
IMM Students of PGDM 2020-22 Batch undertook an industry visit to the manufacturing unit of Liberty Shoes Company located at Karnal, Haryana, on Wednesday, 22nd September, 2021. The visit was guided by Mr. Hemant Mohan, Head- Institutional Sales and Mr. Mishra, from HR department. They facilitated the company tour and shared information about current trends in production techniques and how Liberty Shoes brand was established. Students got a chance to understand the production mechanism and other management functions at Liberty. They understood the actual working of manufacturing process in footwear industry.
Students of IMM visited the Mother Dairy plant in Patparganj, New Delhi, which is counted as the largest plant in Asia, on 22nd & 23rd September 2021. The visit was organized to enable the Students to have an understanding the process and manufacturing of quality of milk and other edible products in India. The Company also has a diversified portfolio with edible products like oils & fruits, vegetables, frozen vegetables that is required to meet the daily requirements of the household.
A Money Heist Challenge was conducted in IMM wherein Students using Digital Media shared videos on their Instagram accounts and were to grab maximum likes.

They were given a detailed guided tour and briefing by Mr. Rajesh Singh Deputy Manager of DLF Malls-Emporio & Mr. Ishaan Raj Operations Manager DLF Promenade Mall Operations. Students thoroughly enjoyed this fun filled yet insightful visit and learnt in detail about Mall Management.
Commemorating the eve of the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Our Nation, an enthusiastic group of IMM Students from the 2021-23 Batch planned a field trip. They visited Pratapgarh Farms, Haryana to discover the joy of India’s countryside and bask in the lap of mother nature. Students enjoyed a real village culture and social life through its features and activities like: weaving thread on the charkha, pot making from mud, romantic tales of puppet shows. They got a chance to relish the delightful vegetarian cuisine from Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. Also, they learnt team building through games-spider’s web, building paper bridges, and towers. Students also enjoyed participating in agricultural, gardening and dairy activities. They came home with a unique, different, and memorable experience of the day’s outing.
Mr Haemant Mohan, Head- Institutional Sales with Liberty Shoes Company Ltd delivered an insightful lecture on the topic - "Institutional Selling in Footwear Industry" on 6th October 2021. Mr. Mohan said that the leather and footwear industry in India is a high employment generating sector, contributing significantly to the country’s export earnings and economic growth. He discussed how technologically-advanced and globally-accepted safety shoe brands are made in accordance with International Standards to produce world-class safety shoes, so as to meet a wide-range of work place environments. Diving deeper into the transformative powers of the footwear industry, Mr. Mohan elaborated on the domestic and global overview of the footwear segment and India’s rising potential to tap global markets.
IMM Corporate Team organized an Industry Session on “Remote Working And Future Skills” by Mr. Mayank Kumar, Manager-HR, Redington India, on 7th October 2021. Mr. Mayank addressed the Students of PGDM Batch of (2020-22) with the new concept of the ‘Hybrid Model of Corporate Working’. He guided them on corporate expectations from a campus recruit. He also talked about the skill sets required to be successful in the professional world. Interestingly, he used management games to make them learn these concepts, which were quite engaging and result-oriented. Students enjoyed the fun learning with practical steps to implement these concepts.
On 8th October 2021 IMM conducted a Virtual Industry Visit at Yakult. It was a wonderful initiative by IMM, to making it a 'Yakult Day at Campus'. Students learnt about the day-to-day operations that takes place at Yakult. They were taught about how the distribution of Yakult Probiotic Drinks is conducted. It was indeed an enriching and knowledgeable visit@Yakult conducted by Yakult team. As a gesture and to inculcate the habit of building a great immune system, IMM provided Yakult probiotic drinks to all the Students attending the Virtual Industry Visit at Yakult.
Ms. Anuricha Singh, Executive Director of HR at KPMG also conducted a seminar on “Leadership Theories”, a highly interactive session ensued with many concepts introduced and clarified. A truly enlightening experience that the Students will forever remember and surely implement in situations they face during both their professional as well as personal lives.
IMM celebrated Navotsav 2021 on the occasion of the 6th day of Navratras. The 9 days of prayers and divine blessings are of great significance in Indian culture. To create an aura of positivity & jollity and mark the starting of the festive season, Navotsav 2021 was celebrated by Students, Faculty, and staff at the IMM campus with great pomp and show. The environment was electrifying and the energy was infectious. Every nook and comer of the campus was decorated with environment-friendly handmade decorative items. The day started with the pooja of Goddess Durga following by several activities like: Singing competition – Sur Sangam; Dance competition – Aaaja Nachle; IMM Haat- marketplace for Students of IMM by Students of IMM; and Dandiya Raas. The dress code was Indian ethnic, which was wonderfully sported by Students, Faculty, and staff alike; all dressed up in colorful festive shades. The winners of all the activities were given exciting prizes. Students also made a good profit through selling items in various stalls in IMM Haat. It was a day full of fun, laughter, and festivities. We wish the tempo remains high until we welcome Goddess Durga again next year on the campus, with the same level of excitement and devotion.
Continuing with the Industry Visit Series, a group of first year Students visited The Pantaloons Retail Outlet at the Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. Dr. Swati Jha and Prof Sakshi Sharma accompanied the group. They were given an in-depth insight on the functioning of this leading retail brand by Mr. Piyush Rath, Head Operations Pantaloons. This visit ended with Students receiving gift vouchers from Pantaloons, for shopping, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Senior GM, Dabur, Mr. Rajiv Dubey delivered a thought-provoking lecture on “Digital Media Trends Post Pandemic”. The hybrid lecture was attended by over 150 Students, both in the classroom and on an online mode. Mr. Dubey shared his insights as to how the pandemic has affected the digital media, and how the role of media has undergone a drastic change in the last two years, using live cases from Dabur as an explaination. The Students had a wonderful time interacting with him.
To introduce Students to the Corporate World, IMM successfully organized an On-Ground Leadership Summit at the India Habitat Centre on 24th November,2021. The Summit addressed key issues related to the New Age Learning in the New Normal and had 3 Industry Doyens as Chairpersons and 12 Industry stalwarts as eminent Speakers who deliberated on ‘Leadership in Turbulent Times’, ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ as well as ‘Leadership of Change’.
The First Session was on: Leadership in Turbulent Times – Resilience to Reinvention; with Chairperson Mr. Farhat Umar, President HR, Mankind Pharma; and Speakers Mr. Warren Stanley Patrick ,Partners, Ryan & Stan LLP and IMM Alumnus; Mr. Rajeev Bhadauria, Founder & Managing Partner, Ebullient; Mr. Ankush Arora , CHRO, Absolute Foods; and Mr. Viplav Singh, AGM, HR, HCL Technologies Ltd, who deliberated on changes and the way ahead in these challenging unprecedented times.
The Second Session was on Leadership Talk to Action – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging; with Chairperson Mr. MMH Beg, Head HR, Bharti Foundation; and Speakers Ms. Anuricha Chander, HR Leader Audit and Tax and Head Global Mobility, KPMG Global Services; Ms. Bhawana Dhawan, Head HR Pladis Global; Ms. Madhura Mukherjee, Learning & Development Specialist, Genpact; and Mr. Rajesh Kamath, Co-founder & Director, Chankya Consulting Chiranjeev Gurukul; who all spoke eloquently on the need to have a more balanced workplace with DEIB in place.
The Third Session was on Leadership of Change – Digital Professionals with a Futuristic Orientation with Chairperson Mr. Atul Bhatnagar, Director, SunMoksha,& Former COO NSDC and eminent Speakers from leading organisations such as Mr. Shibu Shreshtha, Head HR of Pathkind Diagnostics; Mr. Rajat Tikku, Hexagon, PPM; and Mr. Avishkar Mehrotra Founder and Managing Partners, NEO Navigate Pathways - LLB & deliberated on how digital imperatives had come to stay and discussed issues and way forward during the Summit.

IMM Christmas Celebrations were held at Vasant Vihar Club. “Tis the Season to be Jolly”. The holiday season is upon us and Institute of Marketing & Management delved into it full fledged with a Christmas Soiree, dripping with excitement. The exam season just got over and the Students and Faculty both got a well deserved a break to unwind and have fun. Held at the Vasant Vihar Club, New Delhi, the event took place just after the day’s activities after the Stray Dog Outreach Program. The scene from the start was festive and brimming with energy, with music and fantastic food. Students danced energetically along with the Faculty, who each took turns to show what they can do on the dance floor. It was an amazing fun filled evening all in all, and everyone was left wanting more of this amazing event.
Stray Dogs Outreach Program at the Institute of Marketing & Management. IMM Students organized a much needed food and medication drive for the stray street dogs named “Paw Party”. The college forwarded a much needed helping hand toward these animals. A dog doesn’t ask for much, but gives everything in return, and from time to time there needs to be someone to take care of them. The event was successful as over 30 dogs were fed, clothed and medicated on the drive. Among other things, this was one of the college’s ways of giving back to the world and nature, in the long run. The college plans to further carry on this mission with routine check-ups with the dogs and timely medication in case of emergencies.
The Institute of Marketing and Management, New Delhi, laid the foundation of the Entrepreneurship Cell of the college named “Young Innovative Entrepreneurs” with a webinar on the topic –“Introduction to Entrepreneurship Ecosystem”. To enlighten the audience on the topic, Ms. Nikita Bose, Chief Executive Officer- Finance Crafter Enterprises, Business Mentor- Wadhwani Foundation and Business MentorstartUp India graced the event as a Speaker. This webinar was highly beneficial to Students, as many of them dream of becoming entrepreneurs. The goal is very inviting and promising, yet simultaneously difficult and challenging. Ms. Bose in her talk explained niti-grities of the Entrepreneurship ecosystem. This covered suggestions on how to start with a problem, ideate and find a solution and detailed tips on starting an entrepreneurial venture. Her personal journey is itself an inspiration for us all.
Mr Tariq Mehmood, Senior Manager Corporate HR, DEN Networks delivered a webinar on the Topic “Career Opportunities-A Way Ahead”. During the session, Mr. Mehmood highlighted the importance of giving freedom to the Students to choose their own career paths. He explained how Internal Job Postings can be helpful for anyone who wish to change their chosen field of career, within a company. The session was inspiring, thought provoking and it gave the opportunity to learn many modern-day concepts, as also address concerns with regards to career options after PGDM. The webinar was well attended by Students who were quite participative in the discussion and asked inquisitive questions.
Institute of Marketing and Management, Delhi organized a Guest Lecture for Students on the topic.”How to Grow as a Leader and Create Impact”. The Speaker was Mr Sutanu Chowdhury, Chief Human Resource Officer at Spencer’s Retail Ltd, Kolkata. The session was well attended and was highly interactive throughout. The lecture came to an end with many probing and intellectual questions from the 1st and 2nd year Students. The session was certainly a value addition for students. The lecture was coordinated by Dr Sakshi Sharma, Assistant Professor, HR.
A Guest Lecture was organized for the Students of PGDM Batch 2020-22 and 2021-23 on 20th Jan, 2022 , on the topic ”Motivational Tips and Behaviors to Influence People” in the subject of Organisational Behavior, by Mr. Jawaid Ali, Chief Internal Auditor, Saudi Maintenance Company (Siyanco) Ltd. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The entire session was devoted to motivational tips and behavior to influence people. He explained how character differs from conduct and detailed the need to build a strong character. He also emphasized on improving time management skills and shared insights on how behavior influences one’s personality. It was very interesting, as practical insights and experience were shared by Mr. Jawaid Ali in the session along with many words of wisdom.
A Guest Lecture was organized for the Students of PGDM batch 2020-22 and 2021-23 on 8th February’2022, on the topic of, “Role of Supply Chain in Modern Economy” The session taken by Mr. Satish Lakkaraju, Sr. Vice President, Biz Freight, Gurgaon was coordinated by Dr. Tanu. This entire session was about Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the present day, along with the present day challenges and opportunities in this sector. Mr. Lakkaraju explained in detail why the Logistics and Supply Chain Management is considered the backbone of all industries and numerous challenges faced by these organisations.
While the country and especially the capital New Delhi, has been undergoing strict restrictions due to the 3rd wave of COVID-19, the Institute of Marketing and Management has not let the pandemic put a damper on their spirits and their patriotism towards the country. 26th January, 2022, was celebrated by the college online and indoors keeping in mind safety regulations, while making it an event to be remembered. The Management along with the Students of the college put on a show for everyone, with digital performances of singing, dancing and poetry sprinkled with Sanskrit shlokas, to really bring out the theme of the day, and celebrate. It was a joyous sight to behold as everyone put their joint efforts together, to put on a splendid event in honor of our motherland.
Vasant Panchami was held in grandeur. The Institute of Marketing and Management was fully prepared to welcome Goddess Saraswati this Vasant Panchami, who represents education, creativity and everything that one aspires to have. The environment was lively and beautifully decorated from early in the morning to bring in and establish the Murti before the puja started. The event started with religious fervour with Faculty members spearheading the puja. A beautifully pious event followed, where utmost devotion was on display by everyone present. A breathtaking dance performance of Saraswati Vandana by a senior management student Meghna Chakraborty, wrapped up the event in spectacular style. As the event came to a close, the college distributed filling meals as well as a food donation drive for the community with more than a hundred boxes distributed to charity and goodwill. The day ended with a festive mood with the college ready to get back into imparting education with a new found energy and will.
A Guest Lecture Session on ‘Air Connectivity in the North East Region of India’ was held on 13th April 2021 by Mr. Aben Lal, Executive Director Alliance Air(Retd). He outlined Strategic Management Principles through a real life case study outlining Air Connectivity strategies and its implementation in the North East Region of India.
Shri V.K. Singh Director Human Resource gave an insightful session on TECH TRENDS IN HR on April 12th 2021. He talked about how HR technology trends are supporting businesses in the “new normal,” offering tech solutions to address both new and persistent problems. He discussed that Technology reduces opportunities for human error and prevents costly mistakes from occurring, giving ample time to HR professionals from tedious tasks and focus on strategic decision-making. The students were quite participative during the session and asked intriguing questions.
IMM students celebrated Holi with all the Faculty and staff members online on 27th March 2020. Students organized excellent cultural events and kept a high festive spirit throughout the event. Through amazing Dance with Holi colours and songs, they explained -Why and how we celebrate Holi in different parts of the country. The students were all dressed in the theme of Holi. They enjoyed playing live songs as well as recorded songs on the theme of " Holi festival."
The webinar was delivered by Mr. Amit Kavia, General Manager HR at PAYTM. He is also an esteemed alumnus of our college batch 2003. Mr. Kavia is an energetic and effervescent HR professional with expertise in Talent Management, Employee Relations, and HR operations. The session was inspiring, thought-provoking and it gave the opportunity to learn many modern-day concerns with regards to career options after PGDM. Mr Kavia gave numerous illustrations of choosing the right specializations. The webinar was well attended by students who were quite participative in the discussion and asked inquisitive questions.
IMM organized a webinar on "The Art of Hustle: Building & Leveraging your Network" on 6th March, 2021. The Speaker, Mr. Manu Jain has more than a decade of experience in the Telecom industry. He has been involved in building and executing content strategies for corporates and start-ups. The session was all about the importance of networking and building skills to leverage it. Session was apt, to the point and interesting.
To enlighten the audience on the topics mentioned, we had as a panelist with us Mr. Goutam Dutta, Chief Information & Digital Officer, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance. This webinar was highly beneficial to the audience as it unfolded the power of innovation and how innovation culture could marvelously uplift the working environment of an organization. The discussion revolved around, what drives innovation is purpose and imagination. It was stressed in the talk that when people and culture meet, innovation flourishes. It was a very enriching and inspiring experience for students.
A Webinar on “A Paradigm Shift of Leadership in the Knowledge and Information Age was delivered by Mr Farhat Umar, Senior Vice President –Group HR: Mankind Pharma, a visionary and vibrant professional having an expertise in Strategic HR and HR Operations. The session was inspiring, thought provoking and it gave the opportunity to learn many contemporary issues with regards to Leadership Development. Mr. Farhat said that, “Leadership is not merely about administering people but it is a way to influence and motivate people to work in collaboration.”
A webinar was conducted for the students, on the topic – “Investor Awareness and Role of Regulators”. This webinar gave students a unique opportunity to see the live Trading Market Screen, and to understand the Online Buying and Selling of Shares. Also, it was a learning about the functioning of BSE and role of SEBI in monitoring the financial market and investments. Students got a chance to clear out their doubts and queries from the esteemed Panelists: Ms. Veena Kumari, Manager SEBI and Mr Harbinder Singh Sokhi, Manager - Investor Protection Fund, BSE.
The Real Time Multiplayer Business Simulation Game was a Certification Course, which started with an objective of enabling and equipping students to face the challenges of the real world effortlessly. IMM is among the first few institutes, where ‘The Real-time Business Simulation Game’ has been integrated as a part of the curriculum of PGDM course. The Game offers a risk-free environment for students to apply concepts learned in classrooms and experiment with decisions. The real-time game analytics engine provides instantaneous feedback to help learners take corrective actions and learn from their mistakes.
The All India Business Conclave organised an One Day Workshop on "Business Plan and Entrepreneurship" for IMM students. It covered various aspects of Ideation, Marketing and Finance. The workshop was conducted through quizzes, interactive activities and case studies. Students were motivated to start their own small ventures and generate employment opportunities for others.
The live Stand Up Comedy Show was really a fun filled session for the students. Mr. Garv Malik touched upon the college life of a student, in a humorous way. The session broke the monotony of academics and worked as a stress buster for the audience. There was a high demand for a repeat of the show.

The capsule course was presided over by a trained yoga instructor with an experience of 250 hrs. online yoga instructor. The course was highly appreciated by students and the feedback was very good. Students found it really helpful in managing their study schedule especially in these challenging times. Power yoga, aerobics , stretching and chair yoga were major attractions of the whole webinar.
A Webinar on “The Rise of Online Gaming Industry in India and Career Opportunities": started with a wish to create ‘The Best Fantasy Sports Experience’ in the field of Cricket, amongst the students. This online gaming app was designed keeping in mind the love and passion our nation shares for the game. With #Playerfirst as the guiding principle, they make sure that the users have the most smooth, fun & credible gaming experience. Career opportunities in the gaming industry were also discussed.
A Session on "Road To Data Science, Analytics and Cyber Security Club and Global Business Leaders Club" was organized by IMM: Mr. Weal Aseem, from The Ureka Foundation, a globally renowned organization, had a amazing interaction with IMM students. He briefed them about the Global Leaders Club and the DSAC Club. He shared that the objective of DSAC club is to motivate students and prepare them for careers in the respective domains. Also, It provides hands-on skills and expert guidance to help students develop into world class professionals in this field. These clubs will also create career opportunities for students through its international certifications and on campus/virtual club activities.
It was a great privilege for IMM students to learn from Mr. Abhishek Dhaniwal, IMM alumnus and the International Speaker on the topic of "Cloud Services". The technical subject dealt with facts and figures, which gave a great insight to the students about cloud services and their importance in today's digital world.
A Webinar on "Deciphering the Indian Stock Market" was conducted for the students of Institute of Marketing and Management, New Delhi. This webinar gave students a unique opportunity to see the live Trading Market Screen, to understand the Online Buying and Selling of Shares. Also, it was a learning about the functioning of BSE and role of SEBI in monitoring the financial market and investments. Students got a chance to clear out their doubts and queries from the esteemed panelist
IMM students got the opportunity to listen to the industry expert and HR specialist, Mr. Nilanjan Mukherjee on the said topic “7 Pillars of Success amid Covid”. The Speaker touched upon the much needed subject during the tough time of peak pandemic situation. He discussed the tricks to be followed to enjoy a SUCCESSFUL LIFE. The Session received a big applause from the audience.
IMM PGDM Golden Jubilee Batch started on 17th August, 2020. One day Inaugural Session was conducted online due to the pandemic Lockdown scenarios. IMM Director, Dr C.V. Ramanan gave a warm welcome to the Guests, Speakers and the Students. Chief Guest, Mr. Ankush Arora, Senior Vice President, Grofers addressed, the students and shared his viewpoint on students' journey from campus to corporate. The session was enriched by words of wisdom from Mr. Ankur Arora, Director, Dell Technologies and Ms. Bhawna Dhawan, Head-HR, Pladis Global. Proud Alumni of IMM, Mr. Roopak Vashishtha, CEO, Apparel Sector Skill Council, from is one of the senior batches of IMM, shared his ‘Words of Wisdom’ with the students. Mr. Rohit Lamba, Vice President- Sales and Marketing and Head Branding, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, and an alumnus of class 1997, also had a healthy interaction with students.
The Cultural Club @ IMM-Parampara celebrated the festival of colors; Holi with a Bollywood twist this time, in an event named BollyHoli 2022. The festivals of colours ring with spring, nurturing a sense of renewed belonging. IMM Cultural Club fully participated to welcome a riot of colors into life. The celebrations started with the distribution of gift vouchers by Dr. C.V. Ramanan, Director of IMM, for Students participation in the IMM BeaYOUtiful Colloquium 2022.
Faculties and staff members all came under a single roof to spread the colors showcasing harmony, love and warmth. Dance and music, the beats of popular Bollywood beats added essence to the vibrant colors. Keeping in mind environmental considerations only organic herbal dry colors were used, as a strictly dry Holi, an initiative to save water.
The event ended with a scrumptious meal that was also on the theme of Holi with delicacies like: chaat, ice candy etc. The food, music and the whole colourful vibe filled everyone’s heart with joy, with cherished memories.

IMM CULTURAL CLUB "PARAMPARA" organized April Cool Day on 1st April 2022, where students and teachers conducted a plantation drive in the campus, to make our surroundings greener and picturesque as also add in helping cool the planet. We understand the importance of sustainability, environment conservation and green cover and thus undertook this activity. It was a small initiative to sensitize students about an issue, which is the need of the hour. Students participated very enthusiastically and pledged to plant more and more trees in the years to come.

He also explained about numerous challenges faced by the organisations while doing a Marketing Research. The session was very interactive. Students asked few questions at the end. It was very interesting as the practical insights and experiences were shared by Mr. Mohit Bhalla. "IMM Sports Club "" IMM SQUAD"" organized a two day Sports Carnival ""GAME ON ""on 7' & 8'"" April, 2022.
The IMM Campus was abuzz on 7'* April, 2022 with Indoor Game facilities like Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess and Snooker. There was also a lot of enthusiastic and competitive participation in Lemon & Spoon and Sack Races.
On 8'* April, a friendly Cricket Match was organized between all the students, at the "" Saket Sports Complex"" venue. Four teams Prithvi, Jal, Vaayu and Seniors competed where the winner was Prithvi Section.

"The Industry Visit to SEBI was organised for students on 11th April, 2022 to understand various roles & responsibilities of the Exchange. Ms. Nanu Kaur – DGM, SEBI, Mr. Harbinder Singh Sokhi and Mr. Shree Ram from SEBI discussed the concept of Wealth Creation and the Importance of Fund-Raising Cycle for an Entrepreneur. They discussed investment options like Stock Market and Crypto Currency, working of SEBI and various Powers of SEBI and the procedure for recording complaints & grievances. This enriching visit was coordinated by Dr. Tanu Manocha and Prof. Nisha Anand and a great learning session for all students as they learnt practical insights and experiences from SEBI professionals."
"CIAO means to see off or say goodbye to someone who is very special to us. IMM Cultural Team “Parampara” conducted a farewell ceremony for the Golden Jubilee Batch of IMM, 2020-22 on 15th April, 2022. It was a fun filled yet very emotional moment for the whole IMM family. Students adorned formal Indian and western wear as the dress code for the day and gave beautiful scintillating performances. Mr. Rudraksh Parey and Ms. Deepanshi Mittal
were conferred the title of Mr. & Ms. IMM 2022, based on a prior held e-voting conducted amongst Students of Junior batch, Faculty, and Staff. Students were given titles adding to merriment of the day. Winners of the different activities and games were presented with exciting Gift hampers for different activities and games organized for the eventful evening.
All the Faculty members bid adieu to this promising batch of students by sharing some of their thoughts and making it an emotional moment for all present. The evening ended with delicious food and live DJ."
IMM Cultural club“Parampara” organized a scribbling day for the students of 2020-2022 batch, to give them a send off with loads of memories to cherish forever. It was a day of memories, mixed emotions, happiness and commitment towards the two years that they had spent in the campus. Faculty, staff, class mates and juniors scribbled away beautiful messages that will be cherished by our dear students for always. Emotions are a part of human life and bid adieu to a batch that had a tag of being a golden jubilee batch was very special for all the faculty members, staff and the students themselves, they were welcomed by their own juniors who wanted to share some good feelings about their own lovely seniors. Thus, overall, it was a short event of an hour with all fun filled activities and a day of mixed emotions for all. In the scorching may summers the day was celebrated with an ice cream party for all. yummy ice-creams were enjoyed by whole IMM family, as 2022 batch proceeds with their final placements and 2021-23 batch will do their summer internships

The Yoga Session was conducted by our faculty Dr. Ruchi Sharma, Associate Professor, had her expertise in yoga. Dr. Sharma explained the importance of Yoga in the life. She explained that regular practice of Yoga will help the students; faculty & staff achieve better mental and physical health. Dr. Sharma started Yoga demonstrations with the Yoga prayer. After which a few warm up and simple Asanas were performed by the faculty & staff members enthusiastically and the importance of these Asanas was explained simultaneously by Dr. Sharma. She also explained the importance of meditation and at the end a meditation exercise was also organised.

"A Guest Lecture was organised for the students of PGDM batch 2021-23 on 2nd July’2022 at 6.00 pm on the topic ofRole of Social Media Marketing in the current Business Scenario. This entire session was about the Digital marketing Management. He explained the importance and usage of Social Media Marketing management in the current business era. He took examples from varioussectors and different tools used to explain the Social Media process. He also explained the importance and relevance of the tools used in the current scenario. The session was very interactive."
The session was held on Saturday, 23rd July on Zoom. It started with a brief introduction of Dr. Shubhra Chakraborty, and a glimpse into her career so far. Dr. Shubhra started her session talking about her own experience as an entrepreneur and how she created Poshan a food product she created to fight malnutrition in village kids during her years as a doctor. She also talked about Mission Helping Hands which is an initiative that helps young professionals get Internships and Jobs. She then talked about how to build a personal brand and some important tips and tricks on how we can create a unique place for ourselves in theever changing job market. She also talked about Personal Branding Pillars and how important networking can be to our careers. She also talked about the importance of internships and how she gained a lot of knowledge and practical skills from her time at the Confederation of Empowerment Initiatives (CEI) Internship. She followed it with some valuable advice on how to create a good LinkedIn profile and how to increase views on our account through interaction with different profiles and using the correct kind of photos and description on our own profiles. The last part of her Session was based on answering the Question of how to crack a PPO while doing your Summer Internship. She talked about how to craft the perfect CV and how to prepare for the interview process. She also talked about some best practices while your internship is ongoing like Keeping log of daily activities and creating a proper plan for your Internship Project with timelines and alternate plans. She also talked about being proactive and creating your own story. The session ended with some very interesting Questions from our students which cleared a lot of the doubts that students had regarding the topic. Overall it was a very informative session and gave the students a glimpse into How to Create a Personal Brand and Crack a PPO.
The Cultural Club @ IMM “Parampara” celebrated Krishna Janam “ Janamashtami “ on 18th August 2022 @ IMM campus. The festival was celebrated by decorating a small swing along with baby Krishna, colourful flowers and chocolates. IMM Cultural Club participated with full enthusiasm, filled with great flavour and festivity. Performing Krishna Arti and jhoola with Prasad distribution. A competitive “matki phodh” competition was also that was held for both the batches and the juniors won the competition. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Students, Faculty and Staff members of Institute of Marketing and Management welcomed Lord Ganesha in the campus with a great festive spirit. The Ganesh pooja was celebrated for 3 days from August 31 to September 2, 2022. The Sthapana of the eco-friendly Ganesha idol was done on August 31, 2022 and Visarjan was done on September 2, 2022. Everyday Arti was performed in the morning and evening along with the Prasad offered to the deity. The atmosphere was filled with the chorus of “Ganpati Bappa Moriya” when everybody danced on the beats of Dhol. The festivities brought a renewed ambiance of positivity and everyone was charged up. With the prayers of blessing everyone and Inviting Bappa again for next year, students bid a good bye to Ganpati ji. We at IMM wish that may Lord Ganpati blesses everyone in every sphere of life with the Grandeur that he symbolises.
IMM Sports Club “IMM SQUAD” organized a sports activity to Shooting Range on 9th September 2022, where they were introduced to shooting and equipments under the guidance of professional trainers, who helped them in understanding the techniques and methods of using the equipments. The activity was organized in GD Goenka Education Society, Sohna Road. 30 students participated in this activity. They were allowed to take 30 shots comprising of 15 shots on the pistol and 15 on the rifle. The activity was an overall fun filled day, a day of new learning techniques. Prof. Shubhra Samaddar & Dr. Swati Jha had accompanied the students and they also tried their hands on shooting.
The Students of Institute of Marketing and Management PGDM batch 2022-24 visited BSE New Delhi office on September 6, 2022. The visit was facilitated by the IMM Finance Club- Bear and Bull. It was a knowledge enriching experience for the students. The visit started with an informative session about the Financial Markets of India. The session was presided by Mr. Harbinder Singh Sokhi, Manager Investor Protection Fund BSE. Mr. Singh elaborated on the importance of well-established markets, transparent market operations and investor awareness initiatives. The students got an opportunity to see the live market and understand how the transactions happen in real time. Next session was taken over by Mr. Pulock Bhattacharji, Vice President - Business Development, Skilling, Training & Placement BSE Institute Ltd. He elaborated on various courses related to the stock market that BSE India conducts to equip students with additional skills when it comes to trading and investment. It was a very enlightening and knowledge enriching experience. The Students felt motivated and inspired to start their investment journeys soon.
Mr. Amit Goon, an Independent Director, Revenue Growth Leader, and Technocrat by Education, conducted an Industry Session on September 8, 2022, from 2:45 pm to 4:45 pm at IMM Campus with PGDM First Year Students. Touching upon a deeply needed topic, he explained about value systems, scientific temperament, and the need to identify our personal and professional goals. He advised students to always remember to be passionate, to be ambitious, and to be focused. To emphasise his points, he cited examples of Arjuna, Abhimanyu, and Eklavya from the Mahabharta. The student benefitted from the learning session with Mr. Goon.
On September 9, 2022, Mr. Hemsingh Patle, Co-founder of GROKALP, addressed IMM Business School Students at the campus in New Delhi. Mr Patle is a transformation and habit coach who assists individuals and groups of people in changing their habits, so as to becoming the best in their respective fields. His strategy for 'Habit Sustainability' helps people to create enduring habits by making small efforts each day. He has also authored a book titled, “The 5 Minutes Magical Habits”. He addressed Students of IMM in a motivating session on, "Unleash Your Potential" which was truly inspiring with application suggestions based on real life experiences. The term "self-efficacy" refers to a component of a person's self-system, which includes attitudes, abilities, and cognitive skills. This self-system is important in how one perceives and responds to different situations, and also determines how one stays focused on personal goals. Headlines of the session also included the following points: Developing deeper interest in the activities in which one participates; forming a stronger sense of commitment to interests and activities; recovering quickly from setbacks and disappointments; and viewing challenging problems as tasks to be mastered. This goal-oriented workshop was an amazing experience for all Students who realised that their belief in one's own ability to succeed, influences how one thinks, acts, and feels about their place in the world.
IMM Business School organized a one week Induction Program, AAGAMAN 2022, for students of the new PGDM Batch 2022-24; from 1st August to 5th August, 2022 at the IMM campus. The Induction Program acted as an orientation to facilitate students settling in their new college environment. The program included academics as well as enjoyable activities, aiding students’ interaction amongst each other and easing their acquaintance and comfort in the new campus surroundings. The program commenced with a traditional Welcome, Lighting of the Lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by Faculty introductions, explaining rules and regulations mandated for all students and other important information regarding college initiatives and activities held every year. Senior students and faculty welcomed the freshers and assisted their smooth transition into the Business School activities. Students interacted with various industry experts, academicians and learnt trending management concepts during invigorating sessions. Dr Tanu Manocha delved deep into myriad aspects of “Universal Human Values and Ethics” in an interesting intellectual session. Students discussed the key aspects of ethics to focus upon, so as to live in harmony and peace. A campus tour was organized for the students through the hi-tech class rooms and computer lab, well equipped library, recreation room, hygienic cafeteria and tennis court. Students captured these ‘First Time Moments’ in their cameras and relished welcome lunch. Later in the day, Prof. Ruchika Dugal, during her insightful session, highlighted the significance of students’ making themselves Corporate Ready. Next power packed day started with session on “Role of Technology in a Successful Career” was organised by Mr. Anurag Awasthi, Advisory Consultant - Ernst & Young Global Consultant Services; Ex-PwC; Emerging Technologies; Digital Media and D&I Enthusiast, followed by a session on “BSE Live Market” by Mr Harbinder Singh Sohki, Manager, BSE Ltd and a wonderful session on "Why Learn Business Communication?" by Prof. Lovely Arya, Communication and Personality Development Coach; Corporate Trainer and Podcaster. The day concluded with a literary activity of building a story line, conducted by Prof. Rituparna Prasoon. The third day was a blend of industry sessions, practical sessions and a funfilled cultural show. Prof. Madhura Bagchi Madhura Bagchi, Manager-Genpact; NLP Practitioner-American Board of NLP; IATA; L&D Specialist; Branding and Communication laid a road map for new hopes and bigger dreams for the students during her session on “Highway To Success”. Prof. Varun Jaggi, an eminent Soft Skill Trainer; Spoken English Coach; Public Speaker; Budding Entrepreneur-Common Collar , spoke to IMM students in an interactive, informative session on “Business Etiquette” relating the significance of good business etiquette in helping one’s personality development and helping our business develop into an aspirational brand. After a delicious lunch, students enjoyed a Business Model activity on the theme “Be Seen Being Green” organized by Dr. Preshni Srivastava. Business Models spell out the revenue generation systems for a business. A cultural activity “IMM’s Got Talent” refreshed all the students, with traditional folk dance, live song performances, emotional enacting and group dance. The fourth day saw students excited to explore famous places of National Capital of Delhi. All dressed up in smart casuals to hunt through the treasure of Indian Heritage: India Gate, Indira Gandhi Museum, Humanyun Tomb, Qutub Minar, Rail Museum and Waste of Wonder Park. Back to Campus on the 5th day, a Leadership session on “Your Journey Starts Here” by Prof Dinesh Jain was a big hit amongst the new students. At the end of the Induction Program, Students came in Smart Sporty Casuals and participated in Indoor Sports Tournaments and Management Games. The finale of the Induction –Orientation Week had students relaxing & enjoying at a Musical Rain Dance Party, concluding the day with everlasting memories.
Values and ethics are the underlying behaviour that make us a better human being and lead us towards a prosperous life. IMM students had a very deep and intellectual discussion on this topic, highlighted in a very interesting session by Dr Tanu Manocha, who spoke on “Universal Human Values and Ethics”. Students learnt what key aspects should be focused upon so as to live in harmony and peace, with one self and the environment. Aspects of human consciousness, which includes right understanding, feelings of prosperity, fearlessness, relationships amongst human beings, respect and coexistence with rest of the nature, were discussed. The session ignited students’ imagination leading to great interaction amongst all for a better understanding of concepts. The ensuing quiz time, stimulated great excitement as students participated enthusiastically at the end of the session.
In an interactive session during AAGAMAN, the Induction Program for the new PGDM Batch of 2022-24, Ms Ruchika Dugal, a renowned NLP Practitioner and Corporate Trainer on Soft Skills, spoke on the topic “Corporate Expectations from Management Graduates.” Ms. Ruchika Dugal, is a well-known Motivational Speaker, who has a great connect with the audience. She painted a picture of the corporate world and it’s expectations from young management graduates, who enter the professional world. She highlighted the significance of students’ making themselves corporate ready through Attitudinal Transformation and Professional Grooming. It was power-packed session with many activities, giving students a lot of useful insights during her session.
On 02 August , 2022 , a session on “Role of Technology in a Successful Career” was organised by Mr. Anurag Awasthi, Advisory Consultant - Ernst & Young Global Consultant Services; Ex-PwC; Emerging Technologies; Digital Media and D&I Enthusiast. Introducing the newly inducted students to the world of technology, Mr Awasthi spoke on how today’s technology is disrupting the business world. Today our world and our nation’s economy is dependent on technology. Organisations using the leverage of technology are on the path of growth, whereas the corporate giants who ignored technology have been left behind. He gave an example of Asian Paints success today, detailing how Mr. Champak Lal was first to bring the computer in India in 1970s; and his vision to analyse the sales data of Asian Paints to predict customer’s requirements and manage the supply chain. Mr. Awasthi talked about Yahoo, Kodak and their failures as they failed to adopt and invest in upcoming technology. Segway, although a company with good technological product, failed to launch due to poor roll out strategy. He introduced to the enthusiastic listeners new technological trends like Gesture Based Computing, Augmented Reality, Meta Verse, Robotics and IOT. For Gesture Computing, he took example from movie “Ironman” to explain how with the movement of hands, instructions can be given to the computer. With the example of Pokémon, he differentiated between Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Extended Reality. Real Estate industry and Healthcare will be the major industries that will be benefitting from the AR/VR/XR. Meta-verse although a very new concept, but with its accelerated growth, will enter into the marketing aspect of every business. He introduced the concept of NFTs (Non Fungible Token) as new oil in the digital world. He also cited the example of how RTO is using technology to reduce the crowd at their office and eliminate the tout business while issuing driving license and vehicle fitness. The session was highly interactive and students asked queries about various aspects of technology and how they can be helpful to the corporates and citizens alike.
On the second day of the Orientation Week, AAGMAN 2022, for PGDM batch 22-24, a very interesting session on “BSE Live Market” was conducted by Prof. Harbinder Singh Sokhi, Manager - BSE Ltd . The session was a very interactive one, with various learning outcomes for students. The importance of starting early investment was elaborated with live examples. Many queries were raised by students on ‘How to invest, where to invest and what are the various investments alternatives in the market’. Prof. Lovely Arya, Communication and Personality Development Coach; Corporate Trainer and Podcaster, led a wonderful session on "Why Learn Business Communication?" on the second day of AAGAMAN, the Induction Program for Batch 2022-24, August 2nd, 2022. The session was packed with icebreaker activities and learning opportunities. Ms Arya stressed the importance of learning and adopting business communication etiquette to her students. She also emphasized the importance of both verbal and nonverbal communication. The students thoroughly enjoyed her presentation and learned valuable business tips.
“The Road to Success: Success does not come easy, It takes hard work and dedication”. Prof. Madhura Bagchi, Manager-Genpact; NLP Practitioner-American Board of NLP; IATA; L&D; Branding and Communication Specialist spoke on the topic “Highway To Success”. Addressing the newly inducted students, of IMM Batch 2022-24, Prof. Bagchi discussed the topic, laying a road map to new hopes and bigger dreams for the students. She started her session with a discussion on the paradigm shift of success today. She elaborated the importance of goal settings in reaching significant milestones and the importance of creating a ‘Personal Brand Persona’ that showcases visibility and reputation of the person. She also focused on ‘Time Scheduling’ and ways to achieve ‘Stress Management’ and ‘Work-life Balance’. She repositioned challenging situations as envoys of success and valor, encouraging students to work tirelessly in the future. Emphasizing the changing V.U.C.A (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) corporate today, and it’s implication and impact on talent management, in one of the interactions, she asked the students to create their own story and encouraged them to pursue their dreams and shun people and activities that do not aid personal development and growth. Ms Bagchi strongly supported the concept of ‘higher achievements and good results coming from consistency and persistence in one’s life’. The session came to an end sharing practical knowledge, experiences and answering semi spiritual-logical queries from our soon to be ‘Competent Professionals’.
Understanding Business Etiquette is critical behavioural skill set for professional and social interactions at the corporate level. These help create respectful atmosphere, improving communication and business productivity. Prof. Varun Jaggi, an eminent soft skill trainer; Spoken English Coach; Public Speaker; Budding Entrepreneur-Common Collar , spoke to IMM students in an interactive, informative session on “Business Etiquette” relating the significance of good business etiquette in helping one’s personality development and helping our business develop in to an aspirational brand. Students were engaged in various activities and tasks that highlighted the various principles of behaviour. The session helped clarify basics of punctuality, meeting and greeting teams, dressing, respect of shared spaces, emotional intelligence, phone etiquette, email etiquette. A number of questions were raised based on insights given by him, leading to an in depth understanding of the subject.
Prof. Dinesh Jain, Founder & CEO Indian Maze Advisory; Consultant – Stanford Seed; Executive Coach & Business Advisor, addressed Students on 5th August, 2022, the 5th Day of IMM’s Induction Program AAGAMAN-2022. Touching upon Leadership Skills valued and appreciated in a corporate environment, he urged students to appreciate and adopt-these soft skills that will help them work effectively and efficiently in their corporate environments. Through concrete examples he outlined how leadership skills can change business scenarios, as also change the way of looking at any circumstance, the outlook of any issue, as and when occurs. In an interactive way, he highlighted leadership principles underscoring the significance and importance of learning skills to succeed in a corporate environment.
The Institute of Marketing & Management had AAGAMAN-2022, Induction and Orientation Week from 1st to 5th August 2022. The Orientation week was planned with a mixed blend of academics and cultural activities. Different Corporate Speakers shared their corporate experiences and shared encouraging Words of Wisdom with the incoming Student Batch of 2022-2024. Students also enjoyed some fun related cultural activities. One of the most awaited cultural activities was “IMM’s got Talent” that was planned by IMM’s Cultural Club- Parampara. This activity was planned on 3rd August where students showcased their different talent through enthralling dance performances, melodious singing and engaging acting and mimicry. It was a fun filled activity resulting in appreciation and merriment by both Students and Faculty members. The entertainment acted as an enjoyable icebreaker for all with kudos to the Club Parampara.
Dr. Preshni Shrivastava Associate Professor IMM, organized a Business Model activity on the theme “Be Seen Being Green” on the 3rd day of Orientation at IMM campus. Business Models spell out the revenue generation systems for a business. The whilst starting a new business, an entrepreneur spends a major amount of time to determine what type of models will support business goals, and after consideration, they incorporate the business model design into market research and the business plan. Students were divided in groups and instructed to consider the following key points while designing a new business model: What product or service a company will sell by designing new product or make changes in existing; How it intends to market that product or service i.e. its proposed marketing strategies; what kind of expenses the company will face; how the company expects to turn a profit; and how they propose to get the required funding. Students of first semester prepared various models using thermocol sheets (polystyrenes) and other necessities considering their “Model Plan” which included Retailer model, Manufacturer model, Fee-for-service model, Subscription model, Bundling model, Product-as-a-service model, Leasing model, Advertising or Affiliate marketing model etc. They explained the “Business model” by highlighting nodal features such as product or services selected, location, layout, target market, budget and its profitability in the concluding presentation for project. Extraordinary efforts were made by the students who delivered successful models based on accurate strategies. A great enthusiasm was seen among students during the event. Students enjoyed the activity and learned a lot of management practices. Effective discussions and deliberations brought many concepts into clarity for students. The two most creative models were adjudged as winners.
AAGAMAN -2022, IMM’s Induction Program included a Students’ Day Out to visit various eminent places of National Capital, Delhi. IMM Cultural Club organized this visit to make them familiar with beauty of Delhi. The trip to the historical heritage of Delhi covered the whole city, including famous monuments and museums: India Gate, Indira Gandhi Museum, Humanyun Tomb, Qutub Minar, Rail Museum and Waste of Wonder Park. It was a fun filled day where the students enjoyed the scrumptious food and understood the historical importance of each and every monument and museums.
Teachers Day was enthusiastically celebrated at the Institute of Marketing & Management Business School organised by the OPMAC Operations Club of IMM. The event was organized and structured around the theme and the resultant programme was an immersive experience for faculties and students alike. After a traditional inaugural and prayers to Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, a Ganpati Vandana dance was performed in sync with the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi. A mix of colourful performances by the students of first year as well as the final year students, had the audience enthralled. Faculties participated in the ramp walk with the students, followed by heartfelt video creatives, showing the respect and bond Students had formed with their Faculties. Keeping everyone on their toes, and checking how carefully the students listen in the class, a fun game was organized too. Continuing the merriment, students recreated ads which entertained and reminded the teachers of their school days through a beautifully scripted and enacted short skit, which emphasized the importance of teachers in student’s life. A playful tribute was paid to each Faculty, complemented with individual video presentation for all. The event continued with many energetic cultural performances, showcasing student’s talent in singing, dancing and skits. The event ended with Words of Wisdom by Prof. Smita Lal, Dean IMM, followed by a cake cutting and a scrumptious lunch together.
IMM Cultural Club “PARAMPARA” organized a Movie Day out for its students and faculty members on 23rd September 2022 for the movie “Brahmastra” at PVR, Priya, Vasant Vihar on National Cinema Day. The faculty members were all decked up in beautiful pink and students black and blue made all look immensely grateful. It was a fun filled amazing day, where all the faculty and students enjoyed at fullest with the movie day’s out with crispy popcorns and cold drinks. This activity was to build up an offsite bonding between the students and faculty members.
The Institute of Marketing & Management, celebrated Navratri by organising Pooja on the occasion of Navami, the 9th day of Navratras. The 9 days of blessings and divine opulence are of great significance in Indian culture. Environment was electrifying and the energy was infectious. The students were joined by Faculty and Staff for a Pooja of Goddess Durga and Lord Ganesha. The Chanting of Mantras filled the air with positivity, purity and prosperity. Students enjoyed the prasad and everyone took blessings for a bright future.
Institute of Marketing & Management organized an Industrial Visit to COCA-COLA Happiness Factory, Greater Noida and India's Only Happiness Factory Museum, for a group of 1st year PGDM students on 12th October 2022. The visit was conducted for the young student managers with an intent to understand about product line, product manufacturing, packaging, supply chain and inventory management. The students observed the entire operational process of the Coca Cola product range (e.g., Mazaa, Limca, Minute Maid, Coca Cola, Thums-up, Fanta, Kinley Water, etc.) in bottles and cans of different sizes. Then informative and interactive session was delivered by Ms Samar & Ms Richa who made the students understand nuances of beverage production through “see and know" concept. Students had a great enthusiasm to understand the various aspects of the business. They were briefed upon the safety, pollution and energy efficiency norms being met by the bottling plant. The students were also acquainted about the CSR projects of Coca-Cola e.g., setting up sanitary facilities for girls in rural schools and improving the livelihood of the farmers by providing them assistance for the cultivation of mangoes. Coca-Cola also works towards a more sustainable future by reducing carbon footprint and maximizing water conservation by ensuring minimum water wastage by reusing, recycling and replenishing the water used in the plant. The Happiness Factory also had an exciting section of virtual reality games, the set of coke studio, and a polar bear along with stunning posters of with old advertisements of Coca-Cola adorning the lounge walls. The visit was a learning experience for the students, as it provided a practical approach towards the concept of company, branding and products. Students came to know about the implementation of different processes by the company to provide excellent service to the consumers that makes it one of the world's most cherished trademark.
On 1st October, IMM hosted its first session of the Industry College Academic Network Series (ICANs). Mr. Prosenjit Mukherjee, Head of Human Resources at SRKay Consultancy, addressed a section of our PGDM students at the campus about the 'Leadership in the new Millenium'. Mr. Mukherjee talked about entrepreneurship, the ways leadership helps in creating a shared vision, and focused a lot on finding one's purpose in life. He also talked about how millennials are rebels and how their ideas are challenging existing processes and organizational structures. This has in turn led to groundbreaking changes in various industries. The session was very insightful and interesting. The students learned a lot about the corporate world and the right attitude and perspective that is needed to excel in careers and life, in general.
IMM India is elated to host Mr. Priyankar Podder, Vice President for Citi in their ‘wealth’ division, for the second session of the ICAN series on 'Understanding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at workplace journey so far and a way ahead.' With over 12 years of career spanning across financial services, Mr. Podder champions DEI and is one of the founding members of the India Pride Affinity Network. He is also a facilitator for the #IamRemarkable initiative by Google. We look forward to this upcoming session from the ICAN series on 5th November and learning from Mr. Podder's experiences.
IMM India is honored to have hosted Mr. Ankit Vij, Managing Director- Jaypee Brothers Medical Publisher for the third session of the ICAN series about "Understanding the aspects of work culture in traditionally-run business houses & adapting to New-Age industry!" Mr. Vij elucidated to the students the aspects that family-run businesses focus on, such as creating a culture of commitment and purpose, avoiding layoffs during downturns, promoting from within, and investing in people. We thank Mr. Ankit Vij for taking out time to interact with the students and impart his wisdom about entrepreneurial legacy.
Diwali a Festival of Lights, a festival to celebrate togetherness with all the brightness around. IMM Cultural Club “PARAMPARA” organised a small get together for its Faculty and Staff members to celebrate this wonderful bright and colourful festival which included Laxmi Puja, lunch, Diwali gifts and fun filled activities. All participated in Singing, Dancing and enjoyed thoroughly.

IMM organized it’s first International Convocation Ceremony @ Dubai, on 16th October, 2022, for the Class of 2022. For this Gala Celebration and Graduation Ceremony, an exclusive Academic Cum Excursion trip to Dubai was organised to make everlasting memories for the students. Students visited the Dubai Financial Markets (DFM), and learnt about the economic growth prospects and business investment policies at Dubai. Students enjoyed an evening attraction of a Dhow Cruise and Barbeque Dinner. They enjoyed the view of surrounding buildings, brilliantly illuminated in multi-coloured lighting. A folkloric Tanura dance, loaded with talent and attractive multi-coloured costumes, left the viewers extremely amused enthralled by the spectacle. The Dubai Guided City Oriented Tour covered major attractions like the Dubai Museum, the Jumeriah Beach-a white sandy Beach, Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. Students walked through the 48-meter Aquarium Tunnel to explore unique species at Underwater Aquarium and Marine Life. The day ended with the world’s tallest performing fountain show – a captivating water, music and light spectacle in Downtown, Dubai. All drove to the dessert in a 4-wheel drive through some of the most scenic sand dunes of the Arabian Desert. An International Convocation Celebration Ceremony was conducted at the picturesque Red Sand Dunes of the Arabian desert. IMM Faculty members awarded Diploma Certificates, to all the passing out Students of IMM Class 2022. These moments of accomplishments were joyously captured in the cameras of all students. Post Convocation, they enjoyed many fun activities including camel riding, dune bashing, and quad biking with breath-taking views of the desert during sunset. They also witnessed the traditional Arabic culture with sessions of traditional dancing including another Tanura show, Fire show and relished a sumptuous Barbecue dinner. Students and Faculty members were grateful to IMM, for giving them lifetime memories of the Graduation Ceremony at Red Sand Dunes of Arabian desert.
IMM organized an Educational Tour to Manali, for 5 days, starting from 16th Oct’22 to 21st Oct ’22. Students of the PGDM Batch ,2021-2023participated in this tour along with Faculty Members and Staff. The Journey started from IMM Campus and everyone enjoyed and will remember and hold a special place in their hearts. IMM had a wonderful trip, enjoying everything from viewing beautiful landscapes to partying hard at night in the chilly Manali Weather!
On the International Thanksgiving Day, 24th November, 2022, IMM organized a Blood Donation Camp, in association with HDFC Bank, to express a warm gratitude for health and the spirit of sharing with those in need. The camp was organized by Rotary Club of Delhi South East. Mr. Arun Gupta, President and Mr. Ashok Tacker, Honorary Secretary, Rotary Club of Delhi South East joined the event to encourage IMM students for this noble cause for the welfare of mankind. PGDM Students actively participated in donating the blood to soothe sufferings and save lives. IMM Faculty and staff members also contributed to this great act of kindness. By the evening, Rotary Blood Bank could collect sufficient units of blood. Blood doners received Appreciation Certificates and gifts from The Rotary Club and HDFC Bank as well.
Institute of Marketing & Management organized an Industrial Visit to CISCO Network Training at Network Bulls, Gurgaon, for its PGDM 2023 -2025 batch and PGDM 2022 -2024 batch (Information Technology Specialisation) students on 12th January 2023. The students underwent in-depth training on CISCO Networking Concepts from CISCO-Certified Trainers Mr. Surrender, Mr.Pramod and Mr. Pankaj. The students were given practical exposure to routers and switches in CISCO Lab. The student not only gained knowledge of networking concepts but also acquired hands-on experience. Dr. Smita Agarwal and Ms. Nisha Anand accompanied the students for the visit.
Students of Institute of Marketing and Management celebrated Lohri Festival on January 13,2023. The fanfare was loaded with lots of Dance on Dhol and Punjabi folk music. The Pious bonfire of Lodhi marked the start of festivities for 2023. This event was coordinated by the Finance Club and Cultural Club of IMM. The sweetness of jaggery and warmth of groundnuts added a happy zing to the life at campus of IMM.
IMM Cultural Club - Parampara organised a republic day celebration for its students, faculty and staff members on 25.1.23 The students were all in the campus following the dress code and theme of orange white and green . The excitement arose the feeling of patriotism amongst all of us present . Jai Hind!
On 17th January 2023, the Industry Campus Network (ICAN) series, held its fourth session with Guest Speaker Mr. Jenender Anand, COO of LML, who discussed the 'Future of Marketing & Corporate World'. The interactive session covered topics such as LinkedIn strategies, leadership skills, collaboration, and personalized data-driven marketing. The event also delved into the growing industry of electric vehicles and the importance of keeping people informed and inspired. It was a productive and informative session. We thank Mr. Jenender Anand for taking out time to interact with our students and impart his wisdom.
IMM hosted the fifth event of the Industry Campus Network Series, or ICAN, on January 30, 2023. Mr. Himanshu Badalia, Regional Marketing Head at Pantaloons North zone Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, was our guest speaker for the event. He spoke about marketing and the path from business analytics to brand building. The event was incredibly engaging, making it both a great learning experience and a lot of fun. He discussed how data should be viewed as a language and not just as numbers, how marketing methods have changed over time, and the significance of digital marketing in the modern era. Additionally, he talked on numerous key terminology like ROAS and CPA. We learned about the fundamental element of advertising, which is to strengthen the position of the brand in the minds of consumers, and how analytics is critical to ensure that to eliminate guess work from our marketing strategy. Overall, the session was highly engaging, and the students gained a lot of knowledge from him.
IMM hosted the sixth session of the Industry Campus Network Series, or ICAN, on February 8, 2023. Mr.Sanjeeb Lahiri , Chief Human Resources Officer at GRP LIMITED in Mumbai , was the guest speaker for the event. He spoke about Human resource Analytics and its importance in the present corporate world. The event was incredibly engaging, making it both a great learning experience and a lot of fun. Mr Lahiri discussed how data and information are not the same,how an organisation/business is managed comparing it with real life examples and how an HR Manager is related with the environment , relationships and challenges of an organisation Mr Lahiri explained the 4 Cs of data analytics maturity model along with the HR Balanced scorecard frame work and their relationship with the vision and strategy of the organisation in a captivating manner. It was a highly partipative session, the students interacted with the speaker and asked questions to broaden their understanding regarding the world of HR Analytics.
On February 14, 2023 IMM hosted the seventh event of the Industry Campus Network Series, or ICAN. The guest speaker was Mr. Nitin Sethi, Head-Treasury Emerging Markets (India, S. Africa, Russia & Middle East) in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He spoke about International Trade in Finance. During the lecture, Mr. Sethi explained what a Letter of Credit (LC) is and its importance in international trade finance. The speaker also discussed the parties involved in an LC transaction, such as the buyer, seller, issuing bank, advising bank/confirming bank. He explained the roles and responsibilities of each party and how they interact with each other during the LC process. Furthermore, Mr Sethi explicated the key components of an LC, including the description of goods, shipping documents, and payment terms. Overall, the lecture was informative and engaging, and the students had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any doubts they had about the topic. The speaker provided valuable insights into the world of international trade finance and the role that LCs play in facilitating trade between different countries. In conclusion the students gained a better understanding of the importance of LCs in international trade finance. The lecture provided them with a practical and relevant perspective on the subject, which will benefit them in their future careers.
An insightful and engaging eighth session of the ICAN Series on "Digital Marketing for Successful Business" by renowned Youtuber and Digital Marketing expert Mr. Sahil Khanna was organized by IMM Business School on 16th Feb 2023. With rapt attention, IMM PGDM students gained practical knowledge on entrepreneurship and building a successful business with minimal investment using digital marketing techniques, including tips on creating websites, marketing principles, identifying audience personas, and conducting real-life surveys. In interactive conversation, Business insights with strategic suggestions were shared on branding, learning to identify opportunities, and leveraging them digitally to business gain. The group of PGDM students were charged and excited to interact and hear from Mr. Sahil Khanna’s real-life experience and journey from IMM to the world, of being an Influencer, an Entrepreneur, and the world of angel investing too.
Students of Institute of Marketing and Management celebrated at a Xmas Soiree on December 23, 2022. The fanfare started with a Paw Party for stray dogs and cats around the campus, who were offered delicious meals. Dancing with amazing music on DJ and some fun filled games and activities followed. Students enjoyed gifts given by Santa Claus and could feel the excitement of the season with a Secret Santa activity adding more to the festivities. This event was coordinated by Parampara- The Cultural Club of IMM.
The Institute of Marketing and Management sought divine blessings from Goddess Saraswati on the occasion of Vasant Panchami on January 25, 2023. The campus was lively and beautifully decorated .The event started with religious fervour as faculty members spearheaded the puja. A beautifully pious event followed where utmost devotion was put on display by everyone present. The day ended with a festive mood with the intellectual capital ready to get back into imparting education with a new found energy and will. IMM India organized a captivating session on the 'Importance of French Language and Higher Studies' as a part of the ICAN series, 9th session. A group of PGDM students had a great time interacting with Mr. Rachit Dhawan, Manager, Campus France and Ms. Shubhra Sharma, Co-Manager, Campus France, as also learning about the benefits of being multilingual, including job opportunities, cultural exchange, and more. Students also learned about the mutual recognition of academics between the governments of France and India, further emphasising the benefits for students to develop their language skills.

The IMM Campus to Corporate ( C to C) summit was organised to bridge the gap between the campus life and the corporate world for the students. This important phase of the campus to corporate connect period is very crucial for all the students graduating for a corporate world placement. The summit addressed the key points on the challenges faced by students for being placement ready and the ways and means to overcome it.
IMM planned a student excursion program for its students of 2022-2024 PGDM batch to Udaipur, Rajasthan, covering the cities like Mount Abu and Haldighati.
The students covered local sightseeing at various historical destinations in Udaipur, enjoying the pleasant colourful culture of Royal Rajasthan.
The destinations in the beautiful city of Udaipur, included City Palace, Saheelio Ki Bari, Lok Kala Mandal, Fateh Lake, and boating at Pichola Lake.
The trip also covered places like Mount Abu, Nakki Lake including the Dilwara Jain Temple and Sunset Point.
The tour also covered a visit to Haldighati, the Maharana Pratap Museum followed by a traditional Rajasthani meal for students.
The students and faculty members enjoyed the five-day tour to Udaipur, Royal Rajasthan.
A group of Students and faculty of IMM Business School attended a Workshop on Meditation in collaboration with Sahaja Yoga Foundation on March 20, 2023. The Workshop focused on simple meditation techniques to increase the focus and attention span. In an hour long workshop meditation was practiced and the science behind all the asanas were explained by trainers. It was a rejuvenating experience that instilled peace in the mind of all the participants.
The Soft skill club of IMM - Kaushal has organised a fantastic Public Speaking Elocution event on 21st March, 2023 on the most current issue of G20-Anti Corruption summit. The entire event was driven by students straight from the inception of the striking idea till its execution under the guidance of Prof. Megha Mathur. Maintaining the sanctity of G20, there were 20 participants who had spoken on one member country each. Students participated whole heartedly and focused on how the G20 member countries have been tackling and imposing strict laws /acts with the aim of becoming the least corrupt country in the world. The event was judged by Mr. Varun Jaggi who is a well known soft skills trainer. Best 3 winners were selected by him. The event ended successfully by distribution of certificates and gifts.

Another exciting and inspirational session with Mr. Saurabh Gupta addressed IMM PGDM students on ‘Organizational Behavior’ under the ICANs series on Monday, 27 March 2023.
Being the General Manager HR, RSPL, Mr. Gupta explained how Organisational Behavior represents an organizational lifestyle and how it affects the people in the organization helping them to become better managers.
He talked about the significance of OB, and how it motivates others and maintains interrelations with other employees.

The first international speaker of the ICANs series from Malaysia Ms. Tan Yet Mee, the founder of Ecominim Eco-friendly Detergent addressed IMM students on 28 March 2023.
She talked about her journey and the struggles she faced while building her start-up under the session “Entrepreneurship: Finding your Why?”. She also highlighted the importance of three Qs: What, How, and Why?

Ms Aarti Sharma, founder – 360 Degree Image Makeover addressed a group of IMM PGDM students over a session under the ICANs series on Tuesday 4th April, 2023.
The topic of the session was IMAGE MANAGEMENT. An internationally certified Image Management Professional,
Ms Aarti Sharma, explained how the right behaviours and communication methods can make a big impact. She also discussed the importance of dressing professionally to look, feel and perform better in order to succeed in all walks of life.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and asked several questions.
